Pfc Lowell K. Walker enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 14 November 1941.
He attended high school for four years and worked on a farm before he enlisted.

He was employed at the Anderson Country Club prior to entering the service. Pfc Walker had previously been wounded but had returned to active duty.
