Edward Haldeman enlisted in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on 6 February 1942.He had been reported wounded in action several months earlier. For this wound he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal a first time.
He killed when by small amrs fire to the head.
His brother, Pfc Warren Haldeman, was taken prisoner and was held in a German prisoner of war camp.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Fosse, Belgium.
