Sgt Clifton J. Potts was graduated from high school in 1933 before he enlisted in Detroit, Michigan on 16 June 1941.He was employed in the office of the Packard Car Motor Company. He received training at Camp Polk, Louisiana and camps in Virginia and Pennsylvania before going overseas in October, 1943. He had been in England, Belgium and Germany.
