T/5 Sylvester Rothstein enlisted in November 1941 and left for overseas duty in August 1943.
He was wounded in France in July 1944 and he was taken to England where he was hospitalized for three months. After convalescing, he returned to duty.

He was killed in action while his tank was hit by enemy fire.
