More information

Cpl Paul L. Walters enlisted in Fort Hayes Columbus, Ohio on 4 February 1942.

He attended high school for 2 years and worked on polishers before he enlisted.

Per Robert Walters: I ran into Bob Kramb, who provided details on tragic news I’d received in a letter from my mother at Christmastime. My brother Paul, a member of the 3rd Armored Division, had been killed at Aachen on December 5 while trying to rescue another man. Bob had been in Aachen when Paul was killed and was able to tell me how he died. Somehow it helped to know what happened.

Cpl Paul L. Walters first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Henri-Chapelle, Belgium Block FF, Row 2, Grave 22.
