Pfc Eugene J. Fornino was employed by Sears Roebuck and company, Asbury Park and later by Fasano brothers before he enlisted at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 28 April 1942.He was married to Mary Purcell in May 1943, about five months beofre he was sent overseas.
During his time in England, he visited his brother Henry who served with a military police unit.
