Pvt Thomas I. Edwards from Davenport, where Tom was engaged in defense work until his induction into the army, November 27, 1942.He received his first training at Fort Knox, Ky. In the armored division. After 15 months he was sent to Fort Meade, Md. And later to an embarkation station in New York, from where he was sent to England and later to France.
Tank ran out of gas in France, was ambushed by enemy.
He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Champigneul, France.
