Pvt Lester E. Pyle attended Sacramento High School and was employed at the Southern Pacific Railroad shop.He enlisted in Sacramento, California on 6 July 1942 and was sent overseas in March 1944.
Pvt Pyle was taken prisoner and died of pneumonia in Stalag XII-A.
