2nd Lt Michael F. Kuhta was graduated in police administration on June 12, 1943 from Michigan State College.He was killed in action in Belgium by a direct hit of enemy mortar fire. He was born of immigrants parents from Poland.
He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Fosse, Belgium.
