S/Sgt Frank R. Oliver Jr. attended Fort Lauderdale High School for three years and graduated from Georgia Military Academy. He was an attendant before he enlisted in Salt Lake City, Utah on 18 November 1943.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his head and neck.
