Pvt Alvin V. Hurt attended Arsenal Technical High School and was employed at the Packard Manufacture Company before he enlisted in Indianapolis, Indiana on 20 November 1943.He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
His brother Lester served with the U.S. Marine Corps and Herbert served in the ETO.
