Pvt Ralph Flannery attended Hamilton High School and was employed at the Ford Motor Company before he enlisted at Fort Thomas, Kentucky on 16 March 1944.

He was killed by small arms fire in his chest.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
