S/Sgt Richard G. Collins attended high school for four years and was a surveyor before he enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 8 March 1941.He was killed by small arms fire in his chest and shoulder.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
