Pfc Nathaniel Bachelder attended North High School and was employed at the United Laundry before he enlisted at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on 23 September 1943. He was sent overseas in August 1944.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his leg.
He is remembered at the Benton Cemetery in Benton, Butler County, Kansas.
