S/Sgt George T. Kristnofe attended high school for two years and was a plumber, gas fitter and steam fitter when he joined the National Guard in Hingham, Massachusetts on 16 January 1941.

He was killed by small arms fire.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
