Pvt Daniel G. Jones attended high school for four years before he enlisted in Seattle, Washington on 16 July 1943.He was wounded in action on 20 November 1944 from artillery shell fragments near Molring, France and died on 11 December 1944 in a hospital to the effects of lung abscess.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Solers, France.
