S/Sgt Earl R. Christenson attended high school for four years before he joined the Army of the United States in Detroit, Michigan on 19 June 1943.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.

He is also remembered at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci, Lenawee County, Michigan.
