Pvt Roland G. Corns Jr. attended high school for two years and was employed at the Westinghouse Elec and Manufacturing Company before he enlisted at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland on 23 March 1944.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
