1st Lt Joseph W. Clampet was employed at the Clarragansett Electric Light Company before he enlisted in Providence, Rhode Island on 10 February 1941.He was killed in action by enemy artillery fire.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
