Pfc Walker Allen attended the University of California at Berkeley as the Class of 1945 for one year and was employed at the Standard Oil Refinery.

He joined the U.S. Army Reserve in Berkeley, California on 13 October 1942.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
