Pvt Henry G. Bernal attended Selma Union High School and worked on a farm before he enlisted in Presidio of Monterey, California on 28 April 1944. He was sent overseas in October 1944.He was killed by small arms fire in his chest.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
