Pfc Robert J. Bulkley attended Fairview High School for four years and was employed by the Central Railroad of New Jersey as a clerk before he enlisted in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 15 February 1943.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his chest.
