Pvt Verle S. Orris' mother remarried with Edward Parkin when Verle was at an early age and since then was known as Verle Parkin.He graduated from Portage High School in 1938 and was employed by Oscar Mayer and Co..
He enlisted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 12 November 1942.
Pvt Orris was taken prisoner on 25 January 1945. The exact circumstances of his death are unknown.
