Pvt John S. Parsons graduated from Hotchkiss School after completing a four-year course there. He had been a student at Yale University for one year when he enlisted in June 1943. He was sent overseas in early September 1944.He is remembered at the Floral Park Cemetery in Johnson City, Broome County, New York.
