S/Sgt Kenneth N. Quick worked on his own farm before he enlisted in Boise, Idaho on 15 November 1943. He was sent overseas in August 1944.He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal a first time for wounds received on 2 December 1944.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments resulting in an amputation of his leg.
