Pfc Marvin L. Busby attended Bakersfield High School for four years and was a fruit and vegetable grader and packer.

He enlisted in Los Angeles, California on 20 May 1942. He was selected for the Army Specialized Training Program (A.S.T.P.) and studied at Providence College.

Pfc Busby was killed by artillery shell fragments to the head.
