S/Sgt Wallace G. Houck attended high school for four years before he enlisted at Fort Bragg, North Carolina on 27 November 1941.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
He is also remembered at the Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery in West Jefferson, Ashe County, North Carolina.
