S/Sgt Stanley J. Gorczyca attended high school for one year and was employed at the Gould Coupler Company before he enlisted at Fort Niagara, New York on 3 February 1942.He was killed by small arms fire in his back.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
