Sgt Ralph A. Gage enlisted in Springfield, Massachusetts on 15 March 1941 and was seent overseas in August 1944.

He was wounded in France on 8 November 1944 for which he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal a first time.

He was killed by small arms fire.

Sgt Gage was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Grand-Failly, France.
