S/Sgt John M. Saulenas attended high school for four years and was employed at the General Electric Company before he enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 3 March 1941.He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
