Sgt Harvey A. Koolpe attended Antioch College for two years when he joined the National Guard at Patterson Field, Ohio on 29 September 1942. He was selected for the Army Specialized Training Program (A.S.T.P.) and studied at Providence College.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
