Pvt Curtis E. Isom attended high school for four years and was a foreman before he enlisted at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland on 6 May 1944.
He was sent overseas in October 1944.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his stomach.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
