T/5 Fred W. Brown attended high school for two years and was a driver at Ries Trucking before he enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 6 April 1943.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his chest.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
