Sgt William J. Kiernan was employed at the Cosmetics Incorporation before he enlisted in New York City, New York on 6 May 1943.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his chest and shoulder.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
