S/Sgt Taori G. Raupe attended Kalkaska high school for four years before he joined the Regular Army in Detroit, Michigan on 21 July 1941.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his arm.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
