Pfc Paul R. Foley graduated from Northeast Catholic High School in 1941 and was a railroad clerk.

He enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 26 March 1943. He was selected for the Army Specialized Training Program (A.S.T.P.) and studied at Providence College.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments.

Pfc Foley was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
