Sgt Lee Baker was a miner at the New River and Pocahontas Consol Coal Company before he enlisted in Huntington, West Virginia on 19 August 1942.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his chest.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
