S/Sgt Sisto R. Lombardi was employed at the White Oak Excavators when he joined the National Guard in Springfield, Massachusetts on 16 January 1941.He was killed by artillery shell fragments that caused a skull fracture resulting in brain damage.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
