Pfc William Andrews enlisted in Los Angeles, California on 9 August 1943. He attended college for 4 years and was a carpenter before he enlisted. He was an American Indian.

He was killed by schrapnel in the chest.

He was first buried at block N, row 2, grave 29 on 18 October 1944. He was disinterred in 23 October 1947 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on 31 October 1947. He was given his final resting place on 26 August 1948.
