Pfc Alexander G. Hossack was a bartender before he enlisted.

He enlisted in May 1942 and trained at Camp Croft, South Carolina and was sent overseas in September 1942.

He was a veteran of the campaigns in Africa, Sicily, Italy and France.

At the time of his death his brother Joseph served with the U.S. Navy.
