Pvt Edmund F. Grimani enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 16 June 1944 while attending Sandusky High School. He went overseas in December 1944Pvt Grimani's parents were Italian immigrants. He was talented in drawing and particularly liked drawing cars. His father was an automobile mechanic.
