Pvt Donald J. Haley graduated from Salamanca High School in 1942.

He enlisted on 13 March 1942. He trained at Camp Blanding, Florida and Camp Robinson, Arkansas. He embarked for overseas from Fort Meade, Maryland in March 1943.

Pvt Haley took part in the D-day invasion of France.

One week before the war ended in Europe, Don was killed by a sniper.
