Sgt Lee Goodling enlisted in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 11 April 1944.

He was a foreman in construction works before he enlisted. Sgt. Goodling was the father of three chrildren, Virginia, 9, Elwood, 6, and Harold, 4.

He is remembered at the Aline Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills, Snyder County, Pennsylvania.
