Pfc Woodrow Jones enlisted on 9 November 1942 at Fort McPherson, Atlanta, Georgia.

Pfc Jones was killed by a shell fragment in the chest. Het was initially buried in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle on 30 November 1944. When the cemetery was given his permanent status, he was given his final resting place there on 22 April 1949.
