Pfc Raymond C. Stewart was a driver at the Santa Rosa Ice Company before he enlisted in Lubbock, Texas on 18 August 1943.

As his unit had to withdraw from Hatten and Ritterhoffen to a new position south of Haguenau, France on 19 January 1945, Pfc Stewart was reported missing in action. When his remains were found and identified his date of death was declared as 20 January 1945.
