Pfc Stephan C. Lautenbach attended college for two years before he joined the U.S. Army Reserve in New Haven, Connecticut on 7 September 1942.He was killed by machine gun fire.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.
