T/Sgt Herman J. Lohmueller Jr. was employed at the Sawbrook Steel Castings Company before he enlisted in Cincinnati, Ohio on 20 June 1942.

He was wounded in Germany on 25 February 1945 and was killed in a train crash, while returning to his unit on 14 April 1945.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Solers, France.

The brick is at Veteran’s Memorial Reading, Ohio.
