Pfc Vincent H. Wickenheiser graduated from Columbia High School and was employed at the Columbia Malleable Castings Company before he enlisted in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on 14 October 1942. He was sent overseas for duty in April 1944.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments.

He is remembered at the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Columbia, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
