Pvt Eugene V. Ludwig was employed in the production of chemical products before he enlisted at Fort George G. Meade Maryland on 26 May 1944.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his stomach.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.
