Pvt Clifford L. Heinrich attended high school for three years and was employed at the Western Union before he enlisted in Los Angeles, California on 28 June 1943.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his leg.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
